Nucleus colony (Nucs) sales cutoff approaching!

EDB only has 18 nucleus colonies (Nucs) left.  We are anticipating a May 3rd delivery date with customer pickup on May 4th.  Once these 18 are gone, we will close sales.  Don't wait until the last minute to order yours.  For more information about our Nucs see our bee sales page.  This date is affected by weather and is a projected date.  Once the producer is ready, we will notify purchasers.

Remember to register your hives!

To register, visit our Resources page and click on the "register your hives" button in the lefthand sidebar to register with BeeWhere, the statewide website for hive registration. This is a yearly requirement for all beekeepers, plus the fee has been waived for El Dorado County beekeepers. BeeWhere is a great resource, bringing beekeepers and pesticide applicators together to protect bees.

EDB apiary open days.

Our club apiary re-opened in April.

EDB Apiary 6699 Campus Drive Placerville CA

We will start opening up the apiary and hives on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month beginning in April.  There is already lots of spring activity in the club hives! Look for opening times on our Facebook page as the weather is still fairly variable.
