Registering your bees. What's the scoop?

Posted on November 8, 2019

This month we welcome back LeeAnne Mila from the El Dorado County Department of Agriculture. She will be speaking about current California requirements for hive registration, as well as fielding questions about local ordinances. Recently, there's been many questions regarding communities who have beekeeping restrictions beyond the county ordinance, here's your chance to get your questions answered.

Hangtown Christmas parade − Sunday, December 6
This year the parade takes place on our regular meeting day. So in lieu of our monthly meeting, we will be marching in the parade. We will meet at the Grocery Outlet parking lot at 11:00 am. We'll have the bee train and truck decorated up. Be sure to dress up in your beekeeper’s suit or any bee costume you would like to wear. We'll also have honey sticks to hand out to the children along the way. After the parade plan on Joining us at the Jack Russell Brewery for good company, food and holiday libations. There will be no monthly meeting in December.

Don't forget our raffle. All re-gifted, gently used or plant donations are greatly appreciated. Receive a free raffle ticket for every donated item you bring. Our club store will also be open. For sale are hats, tee-shirts, tote bags, mite wash cups and pollen patties.

After the meeting many members head to Placerville Brewing Company for dinner and more bee conversation. Join us there!

See everyone at the meeting!
