Hangtown Christmas Parade

Put on that bee suit or costume and join us for the Hangtown Christmas Parade, Sunday, December 5. We'll meet at 11:00 am in front of Grocery Outlet in Placerville. This time-honored community event is well attended and always a good time. Plus, we have over 2000 honey sticks to pass out. After the parade, we'll meet at the Main Street Taphouse for a bite or a pint!

Mead tasting & desserts holiday party

For our December meeting we’re ringing in the holidays with Strad Meadery as they share their secrets of mead making, followed by mead tasting. For those looking for bee-related holiday gifts, they will also have mead for sale.

And for dessert, we’re having a potluck. We invite everyone to bring their favorite dessert to share.

About Strad Meadery
Many years ago, founder Dan Slort began making mead in his garage with his best friend. They decided that others would enjoy the taste as much as they do, so three years ago they opened the Strad Meadery Tasting Room. Strad Meadery is the only meadery in the Sacramento area.

In addition to the tasting room, their mead can be purchased at Whole Foods, Nugget Market and various restaurants. They attend many public events and are excited to share something very different from craft beer and wine. They are proud of their products and have seen a growth in meaderies across the US and people drinking their products.
